We are raising funds to host young women in high school for a large STEM workshops on June 16th, 2016. This will be an event for over 150 Women in STEM candidates at which they receive and build their MEDO SPACE Rover. Celebrating our delivery of the first year of the programme, we have developed and manufactured all the Rover components in the Western Cape of South Africa, ensuring a home-grown programme.
In May 2016, MEDO SPACE was the only community outreach programme featured at the World Economic Forum for Africa and even caught the eye of Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa at the event who pledged his support for the programme. MEDO’s Young Women in STEM will celebrate and commemorate it’s one year of impact this coming Youth Day on 16 June 2016. MEDO has pledges to teach over 150 young women from local high schools to not only build, but also programme their very own space rover that they will be able to take home and continue to programme.
