Every year on the 18th of July, the world is challenged to contribute 67 minutes of their time to a philanthropic cause to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s birthday. Why not add your contribution to MEDO Space this year?
MEDO SPACE has purchased Africa’s first private satellite, and we are handing over the five payload spaces to young women in Africa to decide how they would want to use it. MEDO is actively empowering African women by enabling them in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects.
It is predicted that by 2020, 80% of all careers will require a STEM education, however currently less than 7% of STEM careers are currently held by women in Africa. We need to start somewhere and empower the continent’s youth to take hold of their future.
Why don’t you add R67 or the value of 67 minutes of your time to this exciting cause for #MandelaDay2016? Click here to add your minutes!
